WAYMON HOFHEINS CAME UP WITH THE FORMULA 30 YEARS AGO AS A MEANS OF TRACING INDUSTRIAL SYSTEMS. THEN THE CITY APPROACHED HIM ABOUT COMING UP WITH SPECIAL COLORS FOR SPECIAL EVENTS. NOW YOU CAN GET FOUNTAIN DYE IN MOST ANY COLOR. THE FOUNTAIN DYES WILL LAST FOR ABOUT TWO MONTHS. BUT IF THE CITY DECIDED THEY NEEDED TO GET RID OF THIS COLOR, THEY COULD DO THAT, TOO, WITH A MIXTURE OF BLEACH. THEY COULD THEN CHANGE THE COLOR TO SOMETHING ELSE IN A MATTER OF MINUTES. BLUE VALLEY LABS SAYS IT'S HAPPY TO BE A PART OF ROYALS MANIA. THIS IS SOMETHING FOR THE CITY AND IT'S A FUN THING TO DO. IT'S A CONTRIBUTION FOR US. THOSE FOUNTAIN DYES ARE SPECIALLY FORMULATED SO THEY DON'T DAMAGE THE SCULPTURES OR THE FOUNTAINS, AND THEY DON'T COST THE TAXPAYERS. COMPANIES FOOT THE BILL IN THIS CASE, THE ROYALS.
